Comcast offers $31 billion to buy pay-TV group Sky, challenges Murdoch

LONDON (Reuters) - Comcast Corp, the biggest cable operator in the United States, offered to pay $31 billion (22.2 billion pounds) to buy Sky, the European pay-TV group that has agreed to be sold to Rupert Murdoch's Fox.
